This blog post features some of my favorites for the Summer - Autumn transition period.   Especially for those days where it seems that the weather can't make up its mind, and the best thing about these pieces is that you can mix and match them countless ways - so they're great wardrobe staples! Frugal Fashionistas:  No item in this blog post was over $50 so it won't break the bank, and I think you'll get lots of wear out of these pieces for seasons to come!  For instance, I bought these boots for $40 last year from GoJane and have worn them several times this year in a variety of ways and they're still going strong!

My Most Valuable Players (from the wardrobe) for crossover weather!

The Bomber Jacket: I covered this a few weeks ago in my Street Style: Sporty vs Sexy blog post.  These are perfect for the nights with a chill, or dressing down any outfit.  You can go from a varsity version for sports cool, or the updated looks featuring new-season digital prints.  Wear with skirts, shorts, jeans, leggings, crop tops, racer back tanks, t shirts - anything! This Pop Cherry version has a great soft floral digital print so it can be worn with lighter colours too.

The Mesh Skirt: Mesh has been on the horizon for a while, both in skin-flashing forms, and the more demure, sport luxe style.  I love the mesh net overlay of this Pop Cherry skirt.  It's more relaxed than a bandage skirt and so, so comfortable!  It gives a little more oomph with the texture than a regular black skirt, and also has room to breathe if you want to move around and sit down without sucking in all the time.

Lace Up Booties: I could have worn wedge sneakers with this as a day look, but for a sleeker version, I opted for these suede lace up booties.  Rock them out with jeans, leggings, LBD's denim, silk shorts and printed skirts.  Just make sure you spray a water protector on them so the suede doesn't mark or spoil. Find these Nikki Lace Up Booties on sale for $20 at The Iconic!
